Privacy notes
This is short on purpose. If a long privacy policy would make you feel safer, we also have a long version you can request through the contact form.
What we collect
When you make a card, we collect:
- The photo you upload
- The style and message you pick
- Your name and email
- Your shipping address, if you ordered a printed set
- Your payment, which is actually held by Stripe — we never see your card number
Our site sets a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to count how many people visit (Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless by default). We don't run Google Analytics. We don't run Facebook pixels. We don't sell data, to anyone, ever.
What we do with your photo
Your photo goes through our painting model so we can make your card. It sits on our servers for thirty days in case you want to re-order, then it's permanently deleted. We do not train models on your photos. We do not share your photo with anyone else. If you want it deleted sooner than thirty days, ask and we'll do it within a day.
Who touches your data
Three companies are involved:
- Vercel: hosts the site
- Stripe: processes payments
- Resend: delivers the emails we send you (order receipts, shipping updates)
That's the list. We don't share your data with anyone else. If we ever need to add a provider, we'll update this page and email people with accounts before we start.
Your rights
If you're in the EU, UK, California, or anywhere else with good privacy laws, you can:
- Ask us what we have on you — we'll send it in under a week
- Ask us to delete everything — same turnaround
- Ask us to export your data — same
Write in from the contact form, say what you want, and we'll handle it. No forms to fill, no fees.
Kids
This service isn't for children under 13. You can upload photos of your kids (that's most of our orders). But the account holder and the person paying needs to be an adult.
If something goes wrong
If we ever have a data breach that involves your information, we'll email you within 72 hours of figuring it out, tell you what happened, and tell you what we're doing about it. We'll also post about it on the site.
Changes
If we update this page in a way that changes how we treat your data, we'll email everyone with an account at least fourteen days before it takes effect. Small edits we'll just post.
Getting in touch about privacy
Use the contact form and pick "Just saying hello" or "A broken thing on the site." Either works. A human reads them.
